Ever since I found out I was pregnant I’ve been drinking water like a camel (but clearly not storing it as well as they do). I quickly realized that water gets old, really old, really fast. Also, since alcohol is out of the picture for…awhile (sigh)…I’ve been looking for something more exciting to drink while those around me enjoy delicious reds and whites and fruity cocktails. Thankfully fruits and herbs come to save the day and transform plain water into satisfying and refreshing h2o with added detox benefits. Double-win!
Orange & Vanilla
Made with just one orange and a hint of vanilla, this infused water is so simple and refreshing! Get the recipe from The Detoxinista.
Strawberry & Basil
Also a great combination in a salad, but throw it in some water and yum. Get the recipe from Mom Advice.
Raspberry & Lime
Grab a small carton of raspberries and a few limes and you’ve got an afternoon water infusion! Get the recipe from the Paleo Leap.
Strawberry & Lemon
I can’t get enough of the juicy red awesomeness that are strawberries. Combo them with tangy lemon? Win. Get the recipe from Natasha’s Kitchen.
Pineapple & Mint
Two of my favorite flavors smashed into one flavorful pitcher! Get the recipe from the Yummy Life.
Mango & Strawberry
This fruity smelling water has a tropical kick with juicy mango. Time to play some Hawaiian music! Get the recipe from That’s What Che Said.
Watermelon & Mint
Watermelon! It’s natural sweetness along with bright and herbal mint makes this a great intro beverage into Spring. Get the recipe from Eat.Drink.Love.
OR REPLACE THE WATER WITH CLUB SODA (because everyone loves bubbles)
Mixed Berry Mango Soda
Have some frozen fruit lying around? I did! Throw it in a mason jar with ice and club soda and call it a day. Get the recipe from…me:
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries)
- 2-3 fresh or frozen mango chunks
- Club Soda
- Add all ingredients into a glass, mason jar or jug, stir and drink! If you used fresh fruit and want a stronger flavor, lightly mash the fruit in the bottom of the glass first before adding the ice and club soda.
Lemon, Mint & Apple Soda
Fruity, herby, tangy and bubbly! Get the recipe from Skinny Ms.
Rosemary & Citrus Spritzer
This is more of a mocktail than a fruit infused water because they add sugar and honey. Either keep the sweetness and enjoy while your friends get tipsy, or negate the sweeteners for a lighter fizzy drink! Get the recipe from The Kitchn.
Mix and match your favorite fruits and herbs to make your own flavor combinations or pick one from above to try. Your body will thank you.
